Has anyone else's Instagram been a little "buggy" today? 😜 I'd feel worse about posting a pic if the girl at the farm this afternoon didn't offer us a discount if we liked them on our "Facebooks." In the evening, we checked out a recommendation from @hairventures of Der Dutchman but found a line along the entire front of the building (must be good!) which wasn't gonna work with two hungry kids. Instead, we dragged ourselves (and the house) to Park St Pizza in the next town which turned out to be only a little less popular. After one look at the line of unhappy people waiting for a table, I made an executive decision; When I walked back outside I told Ann, "I got us a table in the back. It's ready now." We then went to the trailer and sat at the dinette until our take out (or "eat in" the trailer) order was ready. From Jackson Center east, we didn't really have much planned, and in reality, we've kinda blown all our cushion days at this point. Still with the help of some followers like @sunnnnydays, we were able to find something fun to do on a Saturday in Amish country: an exotic animal zoo, of course! Despite being unsure exactly what kind of underground rare animal trade we were supporting, the animals - from African deer to Asian water buffalo to llamas and zebras and emus - were pretty much all co-mingled, had tons of great land to explore and seemed quite content. Despite @advodna_ann having gotten the okay when we checked in, we questioned the decision to bring the trailer through the drive-thru wildlife park as the tires slipped a little on the steep, loose dirt uphills and even more on the downhills. I had to switch into 4WD and manually activate the trailer brake to convince the guests on the horse-drawn wagon ride just in front of us that we had it under control (ish). I gotta say, it's kinda fun feeding a zebra while towing an airstream although Mae is still not a fan of huge animals sticking their heads in the windows. #airstream #liveriveted #myrivetedlife #airstreamwithkids #travelwithkids #familytravel #amishcountry #ohio

After the tour of the factory (and a baby nap in the parking lot), we hit the road... all the way to the Terraport, the full hookup mini RV park where owners can stay before or after (or sometimes during) service. You can also pay $10 to stay if you're just passing through like us. Oh, and I forgot to mention before that we randomly bumped into @rivetville on the tour. Took the tour of the Airstream Factory at Jackson Center this afternoon and came across some pretty famous trailers. The girls thought the gold anodized trailer custom designed by Airstream founder Wally Byam and his wife Stella for a 1959 caravan to Africa was pretty impressive until they came across the @currentlywandering 27' FB they dropped off for service last week.
