After disregarding the “Parking Lot Full” signs and flashing exits for shuttle stops 5 km up the road, we parked five large adventure tow vehicles in the lot closest to Lake Louise, and all 11 adults and 11 kids gathered for a short walk along the shore and a group pic. . Lake Louise is a swirling swarm of selfie sticks and tourism at its least appealing, but as on previous visits, we’ve always been able to find a quiet spot where we could use our Instagram-honed curation skills to mentally (and photographically) crop out the hordes and enjoy it on our own terms.
