Despite a late start yesterday immediately followed by a spirited discussion about the merits of a stopping for bananas at a grocery store that was close by versus one that was in the direction we were heading (which was actually just a continuation of the discussion we'd had the day before but about gas stations) and a long lunch with California poppies and human idiocy in full bloom as folks with multiple outfit changes undertook vanity photoshoots while trampling the very flowers they'd driven out there to see and a stream of people including a pregnant woman and a guy wearing a shirt with the words "Dumbfuck" on it tried to slip through the tight horizontal courses of barbed wire just outside the trailer window, we made it up into the high desert just before sunset. #thedayfeltaslongasthatsentence #mojavenationalreserve #highdesert A post shared by David Zimmerman (@advodna_dave) on Apr 7, 2017 at 8:10am PDT
