The building has been a general store for over 100 years, but it wasn't until two of the guys who owned it in the 80's started opening the doors while practicing with their Bluegrass band that the idea of the Friday Night Jamboree came to be. Now, an enthusiastic crowd of locals and those who've read features in their local big-city newspapers gathers to hear authentic bluegrass and old-time music in a traditional setting every Friday night.
