Our time in Savannah has gone by too quickly, even with two Instameets with @wanderingwelches and @tomorroweverywhere and a visit from my uncle who lives in Hilton Head. This afternoon, we went downtown for a carriage ride around the beautiful and storied squares filled with twisting oaks and historical plaques. We ended the evening eating pizza at an outdoor table on the pedestrian-only East St. Julian St. and then walked back up to where a fun band played to the folks on the plaza enjoying beverages in plastic to-go cups from the nearby bars and restaurants. As we walked, the girls shared a chocolate ice cream cone from the candy shop, much to the entertainment of some of the older couples out for a stroll as Wynne held the cone toward Mae's wagging tongue. One guy tapped @advodna_ann on the shoulder and said something to the effect of, "Treasure this time. It goes by so quickly." I think if we'd taken the time to explain our current lifestyle, he'd approve, but it's a reminder I don't mind getting. #savannah #sisterhoodofthetravelingparents #familytravel #travelwithkids
