Since I'm being forced by circumstances beyond my control to "look at the world through pink-colored glasses" (see previous post #pinkeyeforthebeardguy), I've decided to just ignore the fact that we have to delay our return to the trailer for four days while I flush my eyes with steroids and fastidiously bathe in Purell so as not to infect anyone else and to instead completely falsify a series of posts that I wish were true and will make me feel better in the meantime. So without further delay, please enjoy a certifiably untrue post (with true pics!) about our day: After a two hour flight from SF to Boston during which the kids just sat quietly by themselves, we got back to the trailer to find everything perfect and a comfortable 70 degrees inside. It took a few seconds to fill the water, hitch up and effortlessly pull out of our snowy spot before driving 2,929 miles to the Alabama Hills and arriving at our private boondocking site with a full hour for a nice walk before the last sun bathed Mt. Whitney in an amber glow. The kids made us dinner and took a bath before putting themselves to bed while Ann and I sat by the fire reflecting on a great day.
