Just to the west of Seward lies the massive Harding Icefield, 300 square miles of snow and ice which squeeze out and flow down the mountain in the form of 40 glaciers, many directly into the Gulf of Alaska. In fact, the large majority of the Kenai Fjords National Park is only accessible by boat and most visitors to Seward take a 7 hour boat ride out to see what they can (or arrive on a cruise ship in the first place). Well, boat rides for pleasure aren't really @advodna_ann's thing, but I've found a pretty good workaround. Tomorrow, we'll drive up to Whittier to load the trailer for a scenic 5 1/2 hour ferry ride across Prince William Sound to Valdez. Oh and we may just be working on a slightly quicker way than the usual option (yup, another 7 hour boat ride) to get from there out to see the Columbia Glacier... #airstreamtoalaska #seward #kenai @striderbikes #striderbike
